It is with deep sadness that we learned that Peg Lynch, creator, writer and star of radio’s “Ethel & Albert”, and “The Couple Next Door” (on radio and TV) passed away. She was a true original, and her work brought, and continues to bring, joy to countless listeners. Lynch wrote over 11,000 scripts for TV and radio as well as creating and performing her original characters live. She passed away Friday in her Becket, Massachusetts home at the age of 98. She has left a great legacy and will be missed by many.
We’d like to share an interview with Peg Lynch and her radio co-star Margaret Hamilton from July 1970, conducted by Dick Bertel and Ed Corcoran over WTIC radio. Special thanks to Bob Scherago for his permission in allowing us to present this program.
